The Car Light series displays a brief period of time through multiple forms of media. Inspiration was found in Gilles Deluze’s philosophic concept that there can exist a difference between objects with the same identity, and the artistic approach by Robin Rhodes to use a car as a paintbrush.
Each image was "drawn" by maneuvering a car along a set path within the cameras field of view. When all the images are overlaid, they reveal a rudimentary drawing of a car, the irony of which is evident. The entire series successfully captures the exact same period of time through different forms of media; long exposure photographs, audio, and video.
