The purpose of the Car Light series is to display a moment of time through multiple forms of media. Inspiration was found in Gilles Deluze’s philosophic concept that there can exist a difference between objects with the same identity, and the artistic approach by Robin Rhodes to use a car as a paintbrush.  My series consists of three elements; a long exposure photography series, a video, and an audio track. Each is a different form of media, capturing the same moment of time.

Having always been inspired by the automobile, as well as digital photography, each image was "drawn" by maneuvering a car along a set path within the camera's field of view.  When all the images are overlaid, they reveal a rudimentary drawing of a car, the irony of which is evident. The entire series successfully captures the same moment of time through long exposure photographs, an audio clip (not displayed), and a silent video (not displayed).
